The charge ledger screen displays all pertinent patient
billing information (including multiple insurance companies,
responsible account information, and co-pay information)
while still allowing for an online line item statement
format. All payments and adjustments are posted directly
under the associated line item with automatic reimbursement

Line item notes are stored with each date of service
to be printed with the statement or to be viewed by
practice staff. Patient notes are also available.
Instant balance information (split by insurance and
patient) is available. Family balance information is
also accessible (if family account).
The ProtoMED Managed Care module provides for automatic
appraisal of active referrals during the charge process.
Referrals are tracked for compliance by dates, amount,
number of occurrences, and treatment plan.

activity. ECS history files are maintained for HELP
DESK support and management history.
Payor reports are automatically retrieved upon each
submission. TCD and Payor reports are stored in ProtoMED
for future use.
Claims can be recalled and re-submitted by date of service,
or by batch date.

management tools (insurance summary & detail reporting,
recalled bills, recalled batch), but it also ships with
one of the most sophisticated claims management tools
available our claims manager product. The Claims Manager
allows for online access to insurance claims, patient
claims, or all claims. Once displayed, claims may be
instantly sorted by last bill date, patient name, insurance
name, amount owed, and other combinations enabling claims
to be worked visually in an online format.
