ProtoCLAIMS, the nation's first Web-based
electronic claims product that automatically links claims
with insurance payers who offer direct claims processing.
ProtoCLAIMS, in essence, offers FREE CLAIMS (access
to multiple payers who offer direct access into their
claims systems) and commercial claims submission with
the push of one button without ever leaving ProtoMED.
Non-direct payers are automatically processed through
a national clearinghouse. Claims status may be reviewed
24/7 from any Internet connection. |

 |
ProtoMED clients can place support calls
directly into the Protologics Help Desk Center in real-time
mode from anywhere in the world using typical Internet
browser interfaces. ProtoMED clients can view all support
incidents and associated activity. Clients can sort
their incidents by keywords, dates, and opened or closed
status. The "ProtoWEB" is also used to deploy
new releases and review account status. |

Our online claims management product
allows for real-time access to all insurance claims.
Once displayed, claims may be instantly sorted by last
bill date, patient name, insurance name, amount owed,
and other combinations enabling claims to be worked
visually, in an online format. Click on a claim and
view unlimited billing history complete with bill date,
form type, and bill source. Click again and go directly
to the charge ledger to view the line item in context
with the entire record. Or, you may re-bill the claim
with one click! ProtoMED also provides the typical claims
management reports for insurance summary & detail
reporting. |

ProtoCHART provides for a seamless interface
between billing, scheduling, and clinical records. The
provider uses a pen tablet to retrieve and create a
complete clinical history. Every visit is clearly displayed
with date and reason for visit. Templates are generated
by each clinician base on personal preferences. |

A standard data entry screen employs
one common entry field for multiple search criteria.
The entry field is "interpreted" by ProtoMED
and the resulting query is presented for data selection.
Therefore, access via name, partial name, account number,
social security number, partial soc-sec, phone number,
responsible account is all interpreted from one "entry
field" upon accessing the patient records, charges,
or scheduling modules. |
 |
 |
All components of a patient account may
be accessed directly from any other component; therefore,
a patient's demographics, charges, and schedule can
all be accessed from one another via the click of a
button. |
 |
 |
ProtoMED automatically archives all reports
through its Reports Manager product so that any report
may be reviewed or printed at a later date - in its
original format. Most typical systems do not allow for
the reproduction of time sensitive financial reports
such as A/R or financial analysis months after they
are produced. |
 |
 |
Online ICD9 codes are incorporated into
the charge process. The ProtoMED ICD9 Index enables
access by any diagnostic keyword, regardless of its
place in the ICD9 description - easier to use than the
back of the book! |
 |
 |
Facilities exit billing with very little
data entry directly from the scheduling window. In most
cases, multiple line items may be billed with total
accuracy by pressing one button. |

Patient appointments are linked to providers
and support staff, reasons for visit, special rooms,
or required devices - all from the ProtoMED scheduling
screen. Once scheduled, all components including individual
time elements are documented using one integrated scheduling
process. |

ProtoMED allows for the concept of Undistributed
Payments, wherein the full value of any amount received
may be entered into the system without immediate distribution.
This concept allows for complete audits of daily cash
where cash totals are equal to actual deposits in real-time
mode. An Electronic Distribution Log is generated to
reflect EOB distributions. The Undistributed Payments
Screen is also used as a holding area for Electronic
Reimbursements prior to check receipt. |
 |
 |
Reimbursement trends are learned by the
ProtoMED system - data entry of tables is not required.
Variances in payments or allowances are flagged in real-time
mode. Analysis is available by procedure code and a
grouping of all insurance payments. |
 |
 |
Automatic collections parameters can
be established to create statement messages, special
collections letters, or initiate internal collections
procedures during statement processing. Internal collections
are managed from one central screen. Line items can
be moved to inside collections based on number of days
or number of statements. |
 |
 |
The ProtoMED Managed Care module provides
for automatic appraisal of active referrals during the
charge process. Referrals are tracked for compliance
by dates, amount, number of occurrences, and treatment
plan. |
 |
 |
ProtoMED databases directly interface
with Microsoft Office Products or any other SQL product
including ORACLE, SYBASE, or other popular relational
database products. This connectivity allows for end
user development of special reports or spreadsheets.
