Protologics Corporation was started in 1986 as a consulting firm
specializing in custom financial systems for both IBM and WANG mini-range
systems. We began selling medical software for PC based systems as
a typical dealer. We were soon disenchanted with the quality of the
dealer-based software that we represented and saw an opportunity
to design and deliver a better product - a product based on an open
database standard, using non-proprietary systems. We took on private
investment and began the task of designing ProtoMED. The ProtoMED
